Our Expertise

The team of imaging scientists at Imorphics have been applying statistical models to medical image analysis for over 20 years, after originally proposing the methodology for representing shape as a statistical model at the University of Manchester in 1993.

This has generated a rich knowledge base concerning the application of 3D statistical models to problems in musculoskeletal, brain and abdominal imaging along with other anatomical regions. Imorphics offers a combination of technology and a team experienced in the application of that technology. Imorphics models are currently in use for both orthopaedic and pharmaceutical clinical trials, image-guided surgery, drug-delivery, prosthesis design and a wide variety of scientific studies. Imorphics involvement in these areas has generated a number of patents which extend the basic modelling framework conceived at the University for use in all areas of medical imaging.
